Periodic training for CODE 95 renewal

Purpose of periodic training and education for professional drivers:

The periodic training course is mandatory, as professional drivers can only have their code extended for 5 years on the basis of periodic training. The course takes the form of lectures. Candidates must attend 5 lectures of 7 hours each, a total of 35 hours of lectures over five years. After each lecture, candidates receive a certificate of attendance. The content of the lectures is set by the Ministry of Infrastructure. Once a candidate has collected 5 certificates, the last training provider issues a certificate with which the candidate applies to the administrative unit for the renewal of code “95”.

 

How periodic training works:

Attendance is mandatory at the lectures, where drivers are informed about new developments in road transport, with particular emphasis on road safety and fuel-efficient driving.

The periodic training programme is based on the catalogue of knowledge for the Initial Qualification.

The first renewal period begins in the year following the initial qualification (Example: code valid until 10.9.2025, the candidate attends lectures from 2021–2025).

You can enrol in the programme by submitting the REGISTRATION FORM, which you can send to us by e-mail at .

The following must be enclosed with the registration:

  • a copy of a valid identity document,
  • a copy of a valid driving licence or a certificate of having passed the driving test,
  • candidates who are third-country nationals (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, …) must submit proof of intended employment with a company based in the Republic of Slovenia.
